Penn State sanctions: What I'm hearing

I am hearing that the sanctions are going to be very serious at Penn State. People I follow on Twitter are saying that there is going to be at least a 3 to 5 year bowl ban, and more than 50 scholarships lost. It may be more than that.

Benjamin Albright at NFL Draft Monster tweeted: Whispers are 3-5 year bowl ban, and upwards of 50 scholarship losses.

Be prepared Nittany Lion fans: your team will not be going to a bowl this year, probably the next year, and at least the year after. It could be very crippling for the program. That's just some of the sanctions President Mark Emmert is levying.

You might not be able to see your team on television either. Everything is up for grabs.

Howard Eskin (well-known Philly talk show host and commentator) says: one of the sanctions could be taking the wins away from Joe Pa from 1998 on. That would be major.

I will update this throughout the day tomorrow.
